Making a Difference

Today is the day. You can do it. Don't delay, procrastinate or wait because you are busy. Today is the day you can make a difference. No, you are not trying to effect world peace. You are not responsible for something complex, overwhelming or difficult. No one is asking you to take on the world. In fact, just the opposite. Your mission is to make a difference in your small corner of the world. That happens in simple ways just one person at a time.

Jesus showed by example to huge impact that one individual can have on changing the mindset and lives of others. You are called to do the same. You do not need special training, need to leave your home town or make a radical change to make a difference. All you need to do is make a commitment to be like Jesus to someone. It could be the mail delivery person, your child's teacher, a neighbor or the cashier you talk with every week at the grocery store.

There are no rules about the way to make a difference. You have the liberty to be as creative as you would like. Give it some thought. What can you do with the talent and resources and heart God has given you to make a difference in the lives of others?

“It is more blessed to give than to receive” Acts 20:35
