A beautiful serene location such as the one pictured above is very inviting. Green lush trees, singing birds and a babbling stream provide the perfect backdrop. The location is beautiful but it can certainly change depending on those that visit it. It could become overrun with litter, be destroyed by an unattended campfire or have its trees cut down. Yes, even the most perfect landscape can be impacted by those that interact with it. Still, no one can change the direction of the stream or the history of the landscape which was designed by and is under the divine influence of God. He created the tress, water, blue sky and critters that live in the environment.
The place where you live is very similar. There are God created aspects but there are man-made components as well. The land, sky, people and creatures that exist right there with you were all created by God. The question though is whether God dwells and is honored there. Is the place where you live under the influence of Almighty God or is it under the influence of the enemy of God? Do you know? Can you tell?
You see, the evil one attacks God and his people very subtly. He impacts their life and landscape over time changing their view, hearts and minds. He acts in a way that disguises the very essence of the attack with colorful and beautiful images and language. Remember, Satan is a liar, and he will make things appear in a way that is innocent and acceptable when in fact the plan is to undermine and destroy you and those you love. He will turn what is wrong into what is right, right before your eyes. If you are not alert, you will be deceived!
As confusing and complicated as this may be, there is an easy way to determine whether the place you live in is under the influence of God. God's word is a great place to start. There are truths in the scripture you can learn from. You see, the landscape of your world may change and be influenced by evil, but God and His Word is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He never changes.
What about you? Have you been influenced by the anti-Christ lately and changed your view, heart, or mind about God and His truth? Wake up!! Don't be seduced and lulled to sleep! Your life and the lives of so many around you depends on you opening your eyes to the truth. Pray for eyes that see, ears that hear and hearts that know the truth of God and His Son Jesus Christ. Pray too that the place where you live would be under the influence of Almighty God and that you and yours will be protected by His Mighty Arm today and always.
