It's Spring!

With open arms the season of spring is being welcomed. Daylight, warmer days, tree buds, sweet birds and flowers peeking up from beneath the cold earth are a welcome relief from the dark, cold winter. Spring is the season of rebirth. Possibilities replace doubt, light floods out dark, joy sweeps away gloom and "what if's" return to the conversation. What if this spring you planted a garden or put a fresh coat of paint on the living room or plan a visit to somewhere beautiful?

Isn't it incredible that God selected spring as the season for Jesus Christ to overcome death and sin? It's perfect! Rebirth is what spring is all about and Jesus certainly put a giant exclamation point on the  season of rebirth when he walked out from that sealed tomb on Easter morning. What an absolute miracle beyond any one's imagination. God always has a perfect plan. It may not be what you would expect, in fact, his plans always surpass and surprise. Still, it's spring and every creature on earth knows something new is happening. It is a new covenant that sets free all those acknowledging Jesus Christ as their dear Savior. Aren't you thrilled to be a part of God's amazing plan and a member of the family? Celebrate the season with joy and gratitude. Jesus Christ is alive!

Suddenly two men in shining white clothes stood beside them. The women were afraid and bowed to the ground. But the men said, “Why are you looking in the place of the dead for someone who is alive? Jesus isn’t here! He has been raised from death. Remember that while he was still in Galilee, he told you, ’The Son of Man will be handed over to sinners who will nail him to a cross. But three days later he will rise to life.’ “ Then they remembered what Jesus had said. Luke 24:5-8
