This week will be like no other week. It is the week of Thanksgiving 2013. Yes, there have been many Thanksgiving weeks before this one and there will be many more to follow.
Still, none of those will be exactly like this Thanksgiving. This Thanksgiving will be its own experience. It will provide an opportunity to reflect on the blessing of this year and to gaze forward to a new year.
This Thanksgiving will have words spoken, hugs shared, and gazes and smiles flashed that will only happen this one time. These will leave an impression that will be set in memory for years to come. It may be the unique prayer, special guest, or the grateful heart that makes this like no other Thanksgiving. Whatever it is, enjoy ever moment, embrace those you celebrate it with and give thanks to God for all he has done. This Thanksgiving is unique. It is a moment in time when we lift our hearts and voices to say thank you to our God. He is great. He is loving. He is powerful.
In him we live, and move and breath. His greatness sets the stage for our lives and we are eternally grateful to him for all our blessings.
