Life Saver

There's lots of lifesaving safety and health information available online and through public service messaging. There's information about fire safety, ways to prevent illness, and even travel safety. You can save a life knowing CPR, the signs of stroke and ways to intervene in an emergency. It's all very important and certainly worth knowing. Honestly, it can make a big difference.

Lifesaving is a noble aspiration. Doctors, fire fighters, police and life guards are all needed to preserve and protect life. Still, there are other lifesavers as, or even more, important than these. Followers of Jesus Christ, be they pastors, authors, musicians, or just regular people like you and me, can be life savers as well. In fact, some would say that introducing someone to Jesus and saving a life for eternity, is more important than saving a life on earth. Lifesaving takes on a whole new meaning when you think of it that way. Consider opening and sharing the Word of God with someone, as you would opening a first aid kit to save them in a medical emergency. When you do, you may just save their life.

"For you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For, "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, bit the word of the Lord stands forever." And this is the word that was preached to you. 1 Peter 1:23-25
