Deliver Us From Evil

It seems that as the time for the return of Christ draws nearer, more evil fills the world. Lives are in turmoil and the lines are blurred between good and bad. There is a tolerance for things that are counter to God and God's people. Inevitably, you may find that you are surrounded by or are among evil doers. You know whether things are Godly or not. The most important thing for you to do is to  guard your heart, pray and ask God to deliver and protect you and your loved ones from evil. Delivery from evil can only be achieved through Christ. He is the greatest solution, restorer, and deliverer.

In the midst of the pop culture's obsession with the occult and glamorization of evil and ungodly aspects of life, there is a trend towards immorality and the denial of God. The ungodly minority is quickly gaining a voice and power as if they were the majority. When you have a relationship with the Lord, you have an accountability to behave as Christ would.  You also have a responsibility to be a gentle reminder about all God is and expects when you see things that are contrary to God. Keep your eyes open. There are chances for you to teach and preach Christ and counter evil every day.

"This is what I told them: 'Obey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Do everything as I say, and all will be well! But my people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever they wanted, following the stubborn desires of their evil hearts. They went backward instead of forward." Jeremiah 7:23-24
