Changed Through Christ

It has been said that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Mannerisms, beliefs, language and habits are contagious. What does that mean for you? It may be important for you to stop and consider this concept and take a look around. Are those that you spend the most time with individuals that you respect? Do you find them to be ethical, trustworthy, energetic and positive? Are they individual that are full of humility, hope, kindness and generosity? In other words, are they people that you want to be like?

If you think about those you are spending the most time with and realize that they are not people you want to be like, you can do something to begin to change the situation. The first thing you can do is to begin spending time with others who do display the qualities you think are most important. You can start off by spending more time with Jesus Christ. When you spend time with him you begin to become more like him. You will find that you are more patient, peaceful, open-minded and humble.

There is no one as important or influential that you can spend time with than Christ. He never changes, He changes those that know Him.When you spend time with Jesus you can not remain the same. He will transform you into a new person. He will have a positive influence on the way you think and behave. There will be evidence of Christ all over you. Others will notice the difference and you will begin to influence them in a new way.  So what are you waiting for? Be changed through Christ.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2
