Serve Him

There is something so special about the Olympic games. There are some amazing moments of triumph with so many talented athletes. Several  openly thanked God for their achievements and you can sense their humble and awe-filled expression of gratitude and love. Imagine the journey they have made and the emotion they must feel in victory and in defeat. They have pushed their physical bodies, and human spirits, to the limit to fulfill a dream and honor God, country and their families.

You may not have the talent or physical strength and fitness of an Olympic athlete. Still, your body is home to the Holy Spirit. Whether young or old, tall or small, physically fit, or physically challenged you have a unique God given gift or ability that only you possess. Honor and serve the Lord from where you are.  Use your body, voice, mind, and heart to serve and honor Him as only you can.

“You surely know that your body is a temple where the Holy Spirit lives. The Spirit is in you and is a gift from God. You are no longer your own. God paid a great price for you. So use your body to honor God.” 1 Corinthian 6:19-20
