Legacy

The dictionary defines legacy as something that someone has achieved that continues to exist after they leave or die. Legacies can be positive or negative. Often you hear of a person leaving a legacy of an organization, cause, or even a business model. Still, there are many that leave legacies of love, compassion, benevolence and great artistry. Some legacies last a short time, while others continue on for generations. The interesting thing about legacies is that they are not usually considered, planned, or realized during the time they are being created. Have you really considered what legacy you are creating to leave when you pass on to eternity? What footprints will you be leaving for others to follow in?

Jesus Christ's legacy has stood the test of time like no other and has impacted countless lives. There is no greater example of love or legacy than His. Learn from his life, sacrifice, and love as you live out each day that God grants you on earth. Serve Him now and  those that love you will serve Him well into the future. Commit yourself to leaving a legacy of Christ that is rich in faith, generosity, integrity, love and forgiveness to impact generations to come.

After the meal, Jesus took a cup of wine in his hands and said, "This is my blood, and with it God makes his new agreement with you. Drink this and remember me." 1 Corinthians 11:25
