Indescribable!

Are you someone that is very articulate and detail oriented? Do you paint a picture with your words describing the size, scope, and depth of every experience? There are individuals that have the ability to tell a story in a way that allows others to feel as though they were right there in the midst of the event. The description is so real that you can see what is happening, hear the sounds and sense the excitement from just listening to the story.

Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were just like this. Through their writings you are invited to take a front row seat to watch the story of the miracle of Jesus Christ unfold. Through their words, you are provided a glimpse into the politics, people, culture, and conflict of the day. In as much as they provide in the details, they fall short in describing and conveying the full reality of Christ. This is not a result of their oversight or lack of writing skill, but rather is due to the impossibility of being able to provide a description of Jesus that would come close to being sufficient. He is indescribable! His perfection, beauty, and majesty could never be captured by mere words, as they would surely fall short of the truth and reality of His glory. Words can not describe, nor can the imagination and mind of man comprehend, the complexity and totality of the One and Only Son of God. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! Thank you Jesus for being more than we deserve and could ever understand or ask for. You, Lord, are indescribable!

"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift." 2 Corinthians 9:15
