Here's the Truth

Imagine the purest of the pure; the gentlest of the gentle; the salt of the earth.  Maybe you can’t. Perhaps you can. There may be someone that you know that fits the bill. They are God loving, Christ-filled, kind, caring and have the highest integrity. They have worked for everything they have, every day of their adult life. Even so, they are the target of others that twist the truth. They are made to be the villain. It happens now just as it did over two thousands years ago to Jesus himself. There Jesus Christ was, God in the flesh, and people including his own family could not see His Glory.

Why is that? What makes the human spirit blind to the most precious, awesome, light- filled person in their life? Ego? Jealously? Pride? It’s hard to say. Just remember that there are individuals claiming to be followers of Christ while making up and spreading lies and hate to paint themselves as the heroes of the story.

The bottom line is this; the truth always prevails. It rises to the top and proves itself. The truth stands tall and firm. Jesus Christ is truth. He is God. He reigns over and is in control of all things. He knows the truth about you and he knows the truth about those that make up hateful stories, talk behind your back and despise you for no real reason. Set your eyes on Jesus Christ. Don’t waste your time looking around and worrying about the liars that try to infiltrate your life. Jesus didn’t. He knew the truth and it set Him free. The truth will set you free too if you are one dealing with being the target of others hate. After all, as a follower of Christ you too will be persecuted; it comes with the territory. However, never forget, what goes around comes around, and in the end you're the one who is blessed.

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:31 - 32
