Happy New Year! Welcome to 2015. Isn't it amazing how the year flies by and with the stroke of the clock, time zone by time zone, the world is propelled into a brand new year? Yes, the old year has evaporated and is a mere memory, while the new year has taken on luster and promise.
You don't need to wait an entire year for a chance at a brand new start. You can become a new person in Christ at any time. Jesus doesn't use a calendar to determine when a new start is to occur. You become new when you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and make a decision to follow Him.
No, there isn't any confetti flying or crystal balls dropping upon your commitment to Christ. That would not be nearly sufficient to mark this incredible decision. Rest assured, there is a celebration in the heavenly realm of a far bigger magnitude as Jesus Christ smiles and lets all those in His presence know that you are forever His. Now that is something to celebrate!
