Plugging In

Feeling disconnected? Are you out of sorts?  If so, it may a time for you to think about your daily routine. What are you spending your time doing? Where is your focus? If you are like most people, you likely are plugging into social media, entertainment, or the latest never ending drama of world and local news. That could account for why you are feeling the way you do. Anxiety, worry, and concern will fill your life when you are  plugged into such things.

You can not expect to be filled up with the peace and joy of Jesus Christ if you spend time far from him focusing on other things. When you are not plugged into Christ you will find you are kept in the dark. In the dark, life is scary, and you can not see where you are going. Isn't it about time that you put down the electronics, shut off the mind-numbing television, took a vacation from social media, and plugged into Jesus?  By switching your daily routine and plugging into Christ, you will find that your life has a whole new meaning. He is your source of light, life, and peace.

Spend time in His Word and you will find your anxiety melts away. Be still in His grace and  the concerns of the world will diminish. Things will become clear and you will have a sense of calm rather than chaos. There. Isn't life much more beautiful when you are plugged into Jesus?

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God Psalm 42:5
