Have you noticed? It is that time of year again. The temperature is cooling down and the leaves are turning the landscape into a breathtaking masterpiece. Autumn is a glorious time of year filled to overflowing with beauty and abundance. It also is the season of the harvest and the gathering of the mature and ready crops.
This season of harvest points us to and reminds us of the return of Jesus Christ. As Christians we have the promise, and look forward to the day, when Jesus Christ will gather us all up together to be with Him forever. No, we do not know the precise time, but still we wait, look forward to and are ready for the miraculous event. Do you know someone that does not know the Lord? There is still time to introduce them so that the harvest will be a blessed event for them as well. Do all you can. You won't want to have anyone left behind when the harvest of the Lord takes place.
God told us the secret of what He wanted to do. It is this: In loving thought He planned long ago to send Christ into the world. The plan was for Christ to gather us all together at the right time. If we are in heaven or still on earth, He will bring us together and will be head over all. Ephesians 1:9-10
