Standing Up in Christ

How is it going? No, honestly, how are you? Yes, I know, compared to most people in the world you are blessed. Still, are you standing up in Christ? You might feel you are doing as well as can be expected considering the state of the world around you. No matter what though, don't allow the evil, corrupt and immoral world to get you down or stand in the way of your walk with Jesus. You should be standing up in Christ, not standing Christ up because you are busy, distracted or just plain anxious.

Remember, with Jesus you have everything you need! His grace and care provide you with an envelope of protection from the world's influences. So don't just sit there feeling troubled and worried. Stand up tall, lift your eyes to the Heavens and know in Christ you can counter the world. Perhaps you have been feeling so much worldly pressure that you have been spending less time with Jesus, less time in prayer and His Word and too much time in the world. No wonder why you feel the way you do! Stand up in Christ! Get off the internet, shut the TV, take a media vacation and turn your heart and mind to Him. He will fill you up to overflowing and provide the rest you so desperately need for all that troubles you.

There, don't you feel better already just knowing when you stand up in Christ nothing can get you down? Me too.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
Hebrews 12:1-3
