The Cross

Recently there has been increased opposition to public displays of the cross. Apparently, the sight of it sends some people into a frenzy. They cite legal rights and the separation of church and state as though the cross is a threat. No matter the location or the reason the cross is displayed, they find a problem with it. Sometimes it is because the cross is included in the logo for a city or organization and other times it is because it sits on a piece of land that is public like a hill top or even a roadside. It makes no sense to  deny there is a God and then be offended by a symbol associated with God but this is exactly what is occurring.

What would happen if there were too many crosses to remove?  What if crosses could be placed on every corner of every street and road across America? What do you think? Will you place a cross somewhere in your neighborhood to represent life, love, peace, grace, tolerance, kindness, and yes, the God of the Universe? Give it some thought, pray about it and consider placing a cross in your corner of the world.

"The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction. But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18
