New Heart of Love

It's a New Year and that means organizing and getting ready for a fresh start. Perhaps you are buying new cartons to pack up the Christmas decorations or heading out to a "white sale" to purchase new sheets. There is just something about a New Year that makes you want to put the old behind and begin with a new perspective. Most new perspectives are a matter of the heart. It is not possible to begin anew with the same old heart. Instead, it's time to clear away the gloom and cobwebs of the past and set things straight.

Matters of the heart are serious. They are deep rooted, personal and not to be taken lightly. A change of heart does not come easily. It is not a simple process and certainly one that requires some time and consideration. Mostly though, changes of the heart require love. That love is provided by God. When you allow Him to touch your life, your heart is transformed. He will eliminate the callous parts and melt and mend the pieces that may be broken or cold. Love will be infused and fill up every space to overflowing. With a new heart of love you can conquer the deepest valleys and soar past the highest peaks of life's journey.

God is love. He wants to transform you, give you the desires of your heart and fill you up with a new spirit of love. Honestly, without a doubt, cross my heart.

"And I will give you a new heart - I will give you new and right desires - and put a new spirit within you. I will take out your stony hearts of sin and give you new hearts of love."
 Ezekiel 36:26
