It's not the tinsel and lights, or the holly and berries. It isn't the packages tied in ribbons, buttons and bows. It's not the snowmen, icicles, stockings and candles. It isn't even the fabulous gatherings with family and friends. No, even though these things make the season bright and surround us with blessings, they all fall short of the true meaning of Christmas.
The most important and best part of Christmas is celebrating the birth of Christ and knowing He was born in a manger as an innocent baby and the Savior of the World. In Him, is the beginning and the end and everything in between. It's Christ that makes Christmas all that it is no matter where you spend it or who you spend it with. You may not have everything you want this Christmas. You could have suffered a loss or be apart from someone you love. Still, you have Jesus Christ and you can never be separated from Him and his love. Christ is the most special and perfect gift you will ever receive. So, enjoy and be glad. Jesus is born!
"For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
