Redeemed

It could be that I am totally off track. Maybe I just don't understand. Perhaps I am confused. If so, please forgive me but I just have to say what is on my mind. It is entirely possible that you may disagree, however there is a chance that we will see eye to eye on this. I love Jesus Christ and believe he came to provide a new life to those accepting Him as their Lord and Savior. His death and resurrection are miraculous, incredible, awesome and sufficient. By His Grace we are new in Christ, set free from bondage, and from death. The price has been paid. The old has passed away and we are redeemed. Amen!

Still, there are Christians behaving as though this is not the case. They are consumed with age old rules, and other rules that have no biblical basis. They practice rituals and limit their life in Christ with man made regulations and requirements. The reason for all this appears to be a combination of tradition and confusion. The tradition is accepted as necessary. The confusion is regarding what  a person must accomplish in order to get to Heaven. Still, to them it all seems very important and authentic. From my perspective it is very sad and minimizes the reality and totality of Jesus Christ.

Lord, thank you for your perfect and complete gift of redemption. May all Christians everywhere live life to the fullest in Christ.

"In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ." Ephesians 1:7-10
