Waiting, Watching, Walking

In life you spend a lot of time waiting, watching and walking. There are lines, traffic lights, and important upcoming events to wait for. There are life's moments and daily events to watch. For most, every day requires a certain amount of walking at home, work, school or in town. The events and times of your life happen one day at a time, day after day, week after week, year after year. Time really does fly! Imagine all the waiting, watching, and walking you have done so far. If you had kept track of the time spent it would undoubtedly add up to thousands of hours.

The way you spend time waiting, watching, and walking matters. When you give your life to Jesus Christ you are committing to wait on Him to respond to your concerns and needs and answer your prayers. You are to watch for His return and look for signs that indicate His return is close at hand. You are to walk with Christ on a lifelong journey all the way to your Heavenly home.

Perhaps you are well on your way to waiting on, watching for and walking with the Lord. Then again, perhaps you are off track, out of balance or a bit lost and overwhelmed. It may be a good idea for you to take account of the way you are spending your life. What are you waiting for? What are your eyes fixed on? Are you walking forward or standing still when it comes to your relationship with Jesus? Only you know the answer to these questions. Well, actually you and the Lord.

"Remember the teaching that you were given and that you heard. Hold firmly to it and turn from your sins. If you don’t wake up, I will come when you least expect it, just as a thief does." Revelation 3:3
