Our Father

If you happen to be blessed with having your father still alive, you really ought to be celebrating! Father's are such an important part of family life and society. They are the head of the family, the religious leader, the protector, and provider. Their strength, courage, and love influences the family, the community and the world. The relationship between a father and child is one that vitally impacts the child's future. When the relationship is strong and close the child generally grows to be a loving and kind individual.

The ultimate father-child relationship is that of the relationship between God and his children. He is the Father of all individuals and longs for a close and intimate relationship with every one of his children. Often, the relationship with God is one taken for granted and not respected and given priority. The results of this are evident in society today. When individuals fail to love, honor and listen to their Heavenly Father, they suffer consequences. They are often lost and searching in all the wrong places for  something to fill the void that exist because of the lack of a relationship with God.

Parents understand the desire to have a close and loving relationship with their children, no matter what age they are. That is the same desire that God has for you. Take the time and be committed to ensuring that you stay in close contact with your Heavenly Father today and every day. Follow His direction, seek His face and honor Him with your life .

"I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble. Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life." Proverbs 4:11-13
