More God, Less Man

Have you noticed? Are you starting to ask yourself and wonder? Yes, the world is really going crazy. Every day there is another news story that tells of extreme evil and wicked behavior. Acts of violence, once a rare occurrence, now are everyday events. It seems that society has become Godless and lost a sense of morality, order, and righteousness. Imagine what it would be like for a person that was living in the 1960's or 70's, having since passed away, to return to life in today. They would experience culture shock. The values and lifestyle of yesterday are gone forever. Family, relationships, and community are being splintered apart by forces that are anti-Christ.

What the world needs is more God and less man. They need to seek the Almighty as the source of their comfort and as a life coach rather than seeking answers through drugs, alcohol, and technology. Society needs more prayer and less texting, more scripture and less Facebook, and more fellowship and less Happy Hour. So how are things in your life? Are you spending time with friends and family supporting each other in the Lord, or are you caught up in the hype and cultural trends? You can make a difference in changing the tide of life from one of increasing godlessness to one that focuses more on God and the things of God and less on the things of man.

The Lord said,"Don’t rip your clothes. It isn’t too late. You can still return to me with all your heart. Start crying and mourning. Go without eating. Don’t rip your clothes  to show your sorrow. Instead, turn back to me with broken hearts. I am merciful, kind, and caring. I don’t easily lose my temper, and I don’t like to punish. Joel 2:12-13
