Faithful

Webster's dictionary defines faithful as "firm in adherence to whatever one owes allegiance". Synonyms for faithful are loyal, constant, resolute and steadfast. When you think of faithful you might think of the sunrise, the seasons, or the ebb and flow of the tide. Faithful means without a doubt, assured, and obsoletely certain.

God is faithful. He is constant, consistent, and never changing. He does not give up or give in. His love, kindness, and grace have marched on throughout time. He does not tire, forget, or take a day off. He does not waver, and is always in control.

There are things in your life that you are faithful about. It may be your bedtime, morning coffee, or tradition at Thanksgiving. You are determined to follow through, continue, or maintain. There are also things that you are inconsistent about. This inconsistency may be perfectly acceptable or it could be a problem. You know exactly what you should be doing faithfully and you know whether you are following through.

When is come to your relationship with Jesus Christ, faithfulness is unquestionable for Christ, but what about you? Are you living your life in alignment with Him, are you consistent in worship and honor to Him? Only you know the answer to this question and can make any adjusts that need to be made to be the person you were created to be in Christ.

But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you. 1 Samuel 12:24
