No Doubt

Perhaps you have heard the expression "giving someone the benefit of the doubt". It is usually said of someone that you have had interactions with in the past and trust. In essence, you are trusting that they are well intended or trust worthy. A good predictor of the future is the past, so when you give someone the benefit of the doubt you are giving them your vote of confidence based on their track record or past behavior.

As easy as this is to do in human relationships, for many, it often is not as easy to do when it comes to God. Although a recent Gallup poll revealed 92% of Americans believe in God, the media reports and mainstream culture paint a picture of godlessness and doubt. It seems our society doubts whether God is still in charge and live as if God does not have control of anything.

When you know and love Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, doubt and fear take a back seat to faith and trust. Though life takes twists and turns, and has bumps and challenges, you have confidence in the Lord to be right where you are.  You know that everything is well in His control. You have seen His hand upon your life so many times before and trust Him totally. No doubt! Yes, God still reigns and His Son shines on you every day.

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging."  Psalm 46:1-3
