Peace

When the guests have returned home and the last of the presents are stored away. After all the holiday decorations are removed, and the memories of Christmas are still fresh. In that very special space and time, I wish you peace. Quiet and calm. Peaceful serenity and silent bliss. Just like the still after a fresh fallen snow. A time to pause and recall all that has been Christmas and the celebration of the birth of Jesus.

The peace and quiet may not last. It in fact may be so short that you barely have time to enjoy it. Still, in the silence and tranquility, I pray that you will realize just how blessed you are.  In the midst of all the ups and downs, the good times and the sometimes bad, you are a very special child of the Living God. Christmas may have come and gone, but Jesus Christ is forever. He continues to walk with you through the year, even when times are busy and not so peaceful. May His peace follow you into the New Year as a constant companion and reminder of His unending love.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.  John 14:27
