A Bridge Worth Crossing

The Verrazano Bridge, in New York, is surely work of beauty. It stretches across the  New York harbor connecting Brooklyn to Staten Island. Its double decker suspension makes it a unique structure. It is used each year for the NY Marathon and represent the awesome strength and imagination of the human spirit. Having grown up very close to the bridge, I frequently would gaze at it in awe, as I rode a bike along the path just adjacent to it. Aside from its beauty and architectural grace, it serves the people of New York everyday in a great way, often without even being recognized for its wonder.

Jesus Christ is the Bridge worth crossing. He closes the chasm between God and man. His grace, majesty, and power is unsurpassed. He alone provides the greatest gift of all time. Still, there are many that have chosen not to acknowledge him, seek his grace, or bow the knee to him. He stands waiting to bridge the gap, and longs for all to receive Him and enter into a relationship with the Father. Perhaps there is someone you are praying for that needs to make the journey with Christ. Continue in your prayers keeping in mind the Verrazano Bridge. Then take the time to share it, to explain the miraculous reality of Jesus, the only way to the Father.

"That God is on one side, and all the people on the other side, and Jesus Christ, himself man, is between them to bring them together, by giving his life for all mankind." 1 Timothy 2:5-6
