Never Disappointed

If you have spent any time on the planet, you have learned all about disappointment. Disappointment comes in all sorts of varieties and sizes. There's the small "rain when you plan a beach day" kind, and the large "my friend has been deceiving me" variety. There is the home grown family disappointment, and the work related kind. In spite of the variation, there is one thing that all disappointments have in common. Disappointment always takes the wind out of your sails and breaks your spirit. Broken spirits take time and care to repair, but eventually they do, often in time for the next disappointment.

Jesus Christ will never disappoint you. He is consistent, timeless, always keeps promises, and is never too weary to follow through. He will meet you where you are every time you call Him. He will come through in the middle of the night, on holidays, and does his best work in storms. He is reliable, loving, kind, patient, generous, and is an excellent navigator. He will always fill you with joy, restore peace, build you up, and provide you with exactly what you need to get on your feet, dust yourself off and carry on. Christ experiences disappointments every day, but He will never disappoint you.

"They cried to you and were saved; in you they trusted and were not disappointed." Psalm 22:5
