Waiting

If you are like most people you are not a fan of waiting. Waiting in line, in traffic, and on hold on the phone seems like a total waste of time. Waiting for other people, for a special event, and even for the weekend, can leave you feeling restless and anxious. It has been said that the average person throughout their lifetime spends five years waiting in line, four years doing housework, eight months opening junk mail, six years eating, six months waiting at red lights, and one year looking for lost possessions. Now that is a lot of waiting! Tired of waiting? Well think about God.

Although time is not a factor for God because He is timeless, he still waits. He has waited for a very long time for many people to turn from their sinful lives and come to him. He has waited to hear the joyful shouts of those who finally come to know His Son Jesus, and gain the peace, joy, and love they were searching for. He is waiting for many more that are desperately in need of a Savior. He waits patiently and lovingly as he continues to use angels and people, like you and me, to reach the multitudes.

Won't you be a voice to those he is waiting on? Share your testimony, provide a listening ear, share a copy of the Bible or a Daily Journey message with someone that does not yet know the Lord. God is waiting to be blessed by you as you point someone to him. Next time you are waiting, think of a way to share the Lord with someone he is waiting on. They may be standing right next to you! While you are waiting, why not strike up a conversation with them that may forever change their life? Time is passing quickly, so what are you waiting for?

"Yet the Lord still waits for you to come to him, so he can show you his love, he will conquer you to bless you, just as he said. For the Lord is faithful to his promises. Blessed are all those who wait for him to help." Isaiah 30:18
