There is songbird near our home and it serenades us day, and yes, night. It is not a very large bird but boy can it belt out a tune! This bird is incredible. The variety of its repertoire is amazing. The bird can practically perform a full concert. How does God do that? How does He put so much volume and variety in an average common bird? It's incredible to think that God provided some animals, like birds, a voice so that we can enjoy their music.
God provided you a voice to praise Him with song and prayer. He loves hearing you sing praises to Him. In fact, your entire life is a song that God is listening to. So what it is you are singing to God with your life lately? Are you singing:
- beautiful love songs complete with words of joy, kindness and praise
- a country music solo of sadness, despair, and melancholy complaint
- an upbeat, toe tapper of high lifted spirit and gratitude
- a familiar and comfortable hymn of the same old thing repeated over and over again
You were created to praise God and to give Him honor through your life.Wouldn't it be great to have your life be sweet music to the Lord's ears? This week have your life's song to Him be on of total honor, complete reverence, and great glory. Make God smile and yes, maybe even dance when He hears the beautiful music your life song plays for Him. Ready, set, sing!
