Gift from God.

God is full of surprises and He is able to
create something out of nothing. He can turn the ordinary into something extraordinary. Jesus Christ demonstrated this during His earthly ministry. There was the time He turned water into the best tasting wine. There was the massive lunch feast for thousands that was made from a few fish and loaves. And then there is you and me. As wretched and sinful as we are, God turned our lives around. Our sins are forgiven and we are looked upon by God as blameless because of our lives in Christ. God’s miracles, His grace, and His mercy are amazing. In Him, we are so much more than we could ever be alone.

God surprised me with the gift of writing. It occurred out of nowhere. One day I met my friend Ginny at Disneyland with her son Michael, and immediately following I began writing poetry. The ability to write is a gift from God and so is Michael. Michael has autism and is a talented, gifted artist. He is not just talented; he is very, very talented. His talent is a gift from God. Michael and his parents flew from New York to California to see his artwork on display at Disney’s D23 Expo. It was awesome! God was at work right there at the Disney Expo allowing Michael to shine. Michael was proud, his parents were proud and I was proud to know him and to witness God at work through him.

Thanks Lord for the gift of Michael and his art. Both are a testimony to you and all your goodness and love. You can enjoy Michael's art at http://www.wernertoons.com

“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:11
