Genuine, honest, real people are hard to come by. So many people focus on hiding their true self, real looks, and real feelings. It can be difficult to tell the genuine article from the knock off. You may be fooled if you just trust your eye. If you were in the yard with me you could feel the flowers or smell them to verify whether they were alive. On the surface they may all look real but some could be silk or plastic imposters.
The world is full of phonies and the enemy is a master at making things that are fake, empty, and shallow seem real, glamorous, and promising. You need to be on the lookout for these delusions.
You will be able to tell the truth from the lies when you listen with your heart, examine with your soul, and follow the Lord's direction. The things that are true, worthy, and pure will be evident to you. This is also true of people. You will have no trouble discerning those with integrity, that are honorable and godly from those that are not. You know the truth!
