I must admit that I have become a bit consume with the latest social media applications like Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. They are quite entertaining and amazing. It is incredible to see just how many people will follow a total stranger. Still even more interesting, is just how much time you can spend following these people that you don't know.
Rather than setting out to follow people you never met on some social media site, set your sights and heart on following Jesus. He will reveal secrets that will leave you awestruck, share insights beyond your imagination, and fill you with hope like no one else can. Your time with Him will leave you peaceful and your interactions with Him will make you more thoughtful. He will open your eyes, mind and heart and leave you better than you were before. When you follow Christ, you are never lost and always know exactly what to do in any situation. Best of all, there is no electronic device, fee, or any strings attached. When you follow Jesus, you get all of Him, all the time, without question. Guess what else? He follows you unconditionally forever and ever. Honest.
When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "you still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasures in heaven. Then come, follow me." Luke 18:21-23
