What You Don't Know

You are living in the age of technology. Advances in information systems and computers have expanded the availability of data and provides a means to increase knowledge. With the click of a button, you can gain access to information that could not have been imagined even 30 years ago. You can know just about everything regarding everything!

As much as the information age has provided, there are some things that you just cannot know. You will never know the answer to life's greatest mysteries like where lost socks go or exactly where all your money went. Try as you may, you can't identify the parameters that create natural beauty. For beauty is said to be in the eyes of the beholder. You cannot determine the amount of love one person has for another. There is no ruler or scientific test to quantify it. There is no way to the know the value of peace, although it has been said that silence is golden.

See, God's design prevents His children from knowing His most precious secrets like the dimensions of a rainbow, the shape of the ocean's waves, and the exact moment in time when Jesus Christ will return. So now you know! There are some things that you just can't know.

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.”

~ Matthew 24:36-37
